Melissa Gomez is a former Army Sergeant and Military Police Officer. As a soldier, she frequently displayed her vocal ability amongst her fellow soldiers by competing in talent contests, appearing in variety shows, and touring with USA Express in the United States and overseas.
Married to Special Forces Sergeant First Class Louis Gomez, Melissa was able to compete as a military family member in 2010's Operation Rising Star. Because of her brilliant performances and compelling vocals, she won the competition after which she penned and recorded “The Life of A Soldier” at Firehouse Studios in Pasadena, California. Melissa is also currently a part of the American Military Spouses Choir (AMSC) which made it to the semi-finals in Season 8 of America’s Got Talent. She was chosen by producer David Foster to lead AMSC's first original piece performed at the Kennedy Center, entitled “The Promise That We Make” (watch this video). This tremendous talent is now signed to CAMMO as a solo Artist and is looking forward to recording music that will inspire her fellow spouses, veterans, service members and the nation.
